Can anyone help please!?

Mt friend's Boardman has been fine for a year and now, bizarelly, the left crank arm has decided to loosen itself off after every half mile or so.

We've had it apart, fully cleaned the threads on both sides and applied threadlock to the bolt. That cured it for one ride....and now it's business as usual....undoing itself mid ride.

Any idea why? Or what do replace? Is it likely to be just the bolt or are we talking a new crankset?

Thanks

normally it's because the splines on arm or axle are worn or damaged.

impossible to fix, really, as you've found 🙁
