Hi,

I am upgrading my hardtails brake disks with avid rotors on a set of tektro auriga comp brakes.

I'm using my old disks from my full sus, which has 203mm at the front and 185mm at the rear.

I'm just checking, before I make the purchase that these should do the job?

bolt kit:

front bracket 203mm IS bracket & rear 180mm IS bracket:

Can't seem to find a 185mm bracket? Do I just space it out at the rear with the bolt kit?

Cheers

Rob

You shouldnt need the fancy avid bolt kit if you get bolts with the adapters or calipers. calipers designed to just bolt straight up to the adapter (eg shimano) will be put in the wrong place by the avid bolts with the cup washers.

You can space the rear out for the extra 5mm with washers or you can just buy a proper 185mm adapter. They do exist.

I assume you have IS forks and frame?

BTW, where's the best place to get washers? It seems most of em are now just 180mm so will need a 5mm washer for the rear.

Cheers
