Got a pair of 2016/17 Sektor Silvers 130mm.
Is it as straightforward as removing the 10mm spacer from the air-shaft to give 140mm of travel?

Yes.... Done the same on a pair of 120's and increased up to 140 with no problems

Does anyone know if this works on 2016 Sektor Golds as well?
Not always possible. I've done a few sets over time. First two were fine, take the spacer out or cut it down and instant increase. Great! The last set didn't have a spacer in, 130mm damper as standard, no way to increase travel apart from a different air shaft. Booo. Worth pulling them apart to check though.
