Not very happy. Yesterday, heading down a rocky hillside a very loud noise, like rifle crack, emanated from my front wheel. Thought I had snapped a spoke, but on closer inspection one of the metal sockets, into which the spoke nipples thread, has pulled out of the carbon rim. Spoke to Silverfish this morning who tell me that this is not repairable. Just wondered if anyone else had had this problem and maybe knew of a fix?
Had these wheels since 2011 and have done thousands of often very rocky miles, on them. Got them at a hefty discount to start with and up til the moment they failed terminally they were amazing. They don't really owe me anything just peeved that I don't seem able fix them.
Thanks
Rich
I'd just get a new rim. Six years and thousands of miles you said.
I gave up on carbon rims as I just break them.
