Way more than I'd spend on a seatpost, but KCNC have an option that fits all of your criteria for ~EUR120

Or if you can do with no offset, ~EUR100

kcnc scandium stuff is pretty good if you are under the rider max weight limit. Ive been racing all three sizes of their straight posts for 3-4 years

Thompson elite is excellent. Strong and light.

This ^^^

They are a bit pricey for a bit of metal tube, but mine must be about 10-12 years old, on its third bike and still going strong - so great VFM in the long run.

They're available in 410mm lengths and with offset (although this comes in the form of a bend in the tube rather than an offset head, which look a bit odd).

Chain Reaction have them on sale at the moment.

Another vote for Thomson. Some of the nicest posts I have used. Had three of them and all have been faultless.

£10 - https://www.merlincycles.com/deda-rsx02-seatpost-black-56394.html
(I wouldn't recommend it though, cos there are 2 pics, one of a thumbwheel adjusted head and they are awful). £10 though!

Brand x seatposts are on sale at £15 over at CRC. Perhaps not the lightest and 350mm but still...

Having moved on from.thomson a long time ago I struggle to see why so highly rated. Strong yes rigid as **** yes. No flex. Brutal seat posts. Will last for ever and light but if the ride quality isn't there it's not for me.

Running a ritchey wcs carbon on a stiff as hell race bike , a chinesium ti seat post in my ragley now since hope don't do a conversion for their eternity post to oval rails.

All 3 have more give than a 27.2 layback Thomson in size stupid long for a big pipe.

Not a Thomson .... Thought that was pretty clear.

Both the chinesium post Nd the eternity come in 31.6.

Both have flex.

Yep, you’re pretty clear. Also meeting a requirement as a key supporting rationale for your recommendation. Unfortunately, it’s not a stated requirement from the OP...

it is He just doesn't know it yet.

He will realise it after a short period on a Thomson.

Never under stood the love for them once I got off the koolaid. Had a good number of them over the years . Won't buying another.

+1 for the Thomson.

I've had one for about 10 years it's been..err solid.

Though not stated as a preference by the OP, the black finish is as hard as nails and appears to be highly scratch resistant.

I reckon it's cos they look good, well made, quality engineering and have a good seat adjustment function. And a lot of people run full sus bikes, so don't need or want flex in their seatpost.

Anywway, how about this OP? I've had a few ControlTechs in the past and they've been great

Trail_rat. I think you may have a bee in your bonnet about Thomson. They are a durable post that just works.

I get that you like flex and that’s fine, but it doesn’t mean that others who like the reasonable price, weight and performance are on “the koolaid”. The use of Thomson posts hasn’t been the subject of brainwashing. 🙂

I've got one of these:
https://www.acycles.co.uk/ritchey-wcs-1-bolt-seatpost-wet-black-8803.html

Bit more flex than a thomson, single bolt is great if you use fibre grip on it it stays put.

otherwise the 2 bolt WCS is worth a shout.
