wayhey ive just added a new Ragley seatpost to my bike...
so i have an orange five frame and my original seatpost is 330mm in lenght...... the Ragley seatpost is 400mm.... ive test ridden the post (just outside my house) .... on the seatpost itself are numbers 1-10 for easier setting. now normal riding for me, im setting it for about no.7.... (downhill looks like the setting is about numer 9. my main concern is the extra lenght ( lowering at numer 9 -is this going to be too low and start banging/tapping the bottom bracket ? i darent see if it will go and lower that no.9.......... am i making any sense. lol ? ..... it just seems abit daft to cut like maybe one and a half inch off the post just to make bit the same lenght as the original seatpost......
Hold it against the seat tube rather than in it and see how far down it goes? Or am I missing something obvious? 🙂

ah yes why dint i think of that james g..... acually the post goes to number 11 thats the lowest level.... anyway measured the seatpost (outside of the frame and if i had the seatpost at no.11 (lowest point) theres still 2 inch left before it hits the bottom bracket......
so it looks like 400mm doesn't have to be cut down after all.... 😀
