Hi,
Could anyone confirm the seatpost size and correct clamp size needed for a Trek 8000 2009 frame? I thought it was 31.6mm, just had my Doric Carbon seatpost arrive and it won't go down the whole!!! It is close but don't want to force it and scratch it and not be able to return it. Do you need to put grease on it? I would have thought it should drop down without being forced.....

Should be 31.6 post and 36.4 seat collar....a smear of grease is ok.
