whats the best way to shim a 30.9 seat post into a 31.6 carbon frame
(its a almost new pure racing post bought from my old full sus so dont want to get rid)cheers darren

wouldn't worry too much, just get any correctly sized shim (or is your problem that these don't exist ?)

Yr telescopic post will sit right "down" against some kind of a lip so can't slip. As long as the shim fits it should be fine

Maybe put some carbon post shizzle between shim & frame so it doesn't stick or rot the carbon

(I think / IME / YMMV / don't hate me)

Cut up a coke can. The aluminium will already have a natural curl and the softness makes a perfect shim at no cost.
