Anybody else ever had this as the source of an awful racket on the bike?

Anyway, I replaced the seat post as that needed replacing anyway(saddle was able to spin without the post moving), that got rid of some of the noise. Today I changed saddle back to an old one, still making the noise, then I tightened up the QR as tight as possible and it went away for a bit, but then came back as I was cycling home(as before noise goes away when you stand on the peddles) anyhow, i think i've now located the source of the annoying clickyness, seatpost QR clamp is gubbed.

So, does anyone have any recommendations on seatpost QR clamp or should i just buy the cheapest half decent looking one(cheapness is good at this moment in time)?

Scratch that, who'd have thunk it! Lubing the seatpost, problem solved. D'oh! 😀 I guess i should use grease of some sort but a bit of chain oil worked a treat.
