You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I've just discovered that it's not my BB creaking, the irritating noise is coming from the seat post under load. I'm running a KS Lev post 27.2 into a Ti frame. Anyone got any ideas how to sort this out other than tightening the seat post clamp?
When this happened to me it was a simple remove, clean, regrease.
You could try carbon assembly paste.
If you tighten the clamp to much it will probably stop the post returning.
Carbon paste and grease all the threads on the seat clamp bolts as they can creak and the rails too!
Try blue instant gasket (Hylomar ?) instead of grease.
It sets slightly, more than grease at least, allowing less movement I guess.
I've had some success with that a few times in the past
Thanks team! 🙂
