[Closed] sealant top up. How much?

I set up my wheels tubeless about a year ago. It all went well and I had good use over the summer and autumn. I haven't used the bike in a few months and so guess I need to top up with sealant, although the tyres are still holding air.
So, how much sealant should should I add (29×2.2)?
Also, is it worth cleaning out the old sealant?

I fill one of those little stans 2oz bottles and chuck one in every 6 months. Never clean the old stuff out. Tyres tend to wear out before I'd need to do that. Holding air isn't a great indicator as you won't know until you puncture if there's any sealant left.

I usually keep mine topped up on a bi-monthly basis, with a full bottle. I'm a "bike geek" and spend alot of money on the things; hence I like to make sure they're always in tip top condition....alot of the bikes I see on here and out on the trails look poorly maintained and I wouldn't trust them to perform in a race situation.

Another positive to frequent "top ups" is you eventually "grow" another tyre, made entirely from sealant, under the existing one. Which means once you've worn your existing one out, the "sealant tyre" steps straight in to take it's place. Hence; great value for money.

I check every 3 months when it's warm and 6 months in the cold (inc the temp of your bike storage). I top up to get about 2 stans cupfuls in a 29x2.2 tyre.

DTF - I'm currently developing a thin, graded dipstick that can be inserted into the valve to measure sealant level and fluidity. I'll send you a link to my Kickstarter page later.

Once this happens I tend to melt an old (i.e. 26") tyre down and inject that into the sealant tyre to carry on the cycle.
