How often should i refresh my tire sealant?
Is there an easy way to check that it is still good?
I just pop the bead off and take a look. If it looks yucky or not too runny i slip some more in. Not very scientific. 😀
I don't ride more than once a week on average and check 6-8 monthly.

Met the guys behind this at a show recently, seems like a good idea if you are picky about how much/how old the sealant in your tyres is, or even if you just change tyres regularly - less mess and faff.
I remove the vakve core every few months and poke an old spoke in, if the thread comes out white all good, if not inject more stans. I try not to break the bead seal if possible, having had problems resealing on occasions in the past.
Ideally do this after leaving the valve at the bottom of the wheel for a while.
Give the wheel a shake - if you can't hear some fluid sloshing around add more. Usually lasts around 6 months. Less of stored somewhere hot.
Does old sealant, that is still liquid, loose it ability to actually seal a puncture or does it not matter how old it is?

Speaking for myself, I reuse old sealant if changing tyres. I'm conscious though a little of the little beads staying in the tyre that just cam off so I:
a) if the tyre to go on isn't new and is coated in dry sealant I scrub the inside and leave the resulting sealant-dust in to mix with the new sealant
b) add glitter
Removed the front wheel, popped bead, got sealant in eye, added more into the tire, pumped like mad, ejaculated sealant on the floor, topped up a bit more, tire sealed again, forgot how to refit bolt-through axle, spent 20 minutes tinkering until remembered had to squeeze fork a little bit.
Removed rear wheel - shook heard sploshing refitted, job done.
Valve core is the easiest way. Saves heaps of hassle
b) add glitter
How much glitter do you put in ?
I have been considering adding glitter but Shirley it will clog the valve, which has sometimes happened anyway.
just remove the valve core and use the little dip stick that came with my orange goo
Yeah, milKit does make the whole process easier, being able to extract all the usable sealant without spilling any and stick it straight into the replacement tyre is very civilised.
Looks pretty good! I already have an injector which I use through the removable valve core and this seems like another step up.And the scientific way: https://www.milkit.bike/#product
