Ignoring the top and bottom marks what's the votes for the middle one being a crack?

Ooft! I vote crack.

Where on the frame is it?

Edit: on the second picture on your Flickr feed it looks more like option 3: gouge

Looks a bit like a crack has started propagating round the tube from a scratch?

I was going to say scratch, but on closer examination I'm going for crack

Tis but a scratch.

Cracks don’t start in the middle of a tube, most often from a weld that then propagates either further along the weld or across a tube.

That was my initial impression.
Logged with shop/manufacturers and marked ends so I can keep an eye on if it gets any bigger.

Bit disappointed no one has said it's a sticker.

I'm going for scratch, best fixed with a cracking sticker.
If in doubt, drill a hole from the other side and see if it's visible on the interior of the tube. If it's not, it's a scratch, if it is, it's cracked.

An easy way to check is to put a slight over pressure in the frame and squirt soapy water on it.

Probably a scratch. But you can always gently sand the area and check. Or get a shop to check

The owner of the frame isn't to be trusted with anything that sharp. 🤣

get a shop to check

As I already said

Logged with shop/manufacturers

Only time and more riding it will tell.

You wouldn’t bet three cracks like that. Defo scratch.
Sand it down a bit.

yeah i think its a scratch

bit of wire wool/emery cloth on the central mark, I reckon it would loose the tail end that looks 'cracky'

Deep scratch, seems an odd place for a typical crack.

Most cracks I've found\checked on metal bike frames often have a step in one direction.. lightly run a fine point\blade over the width of the potential crack and often you will notice a directional up\down down\up step in either direction. Personally I've found it's very rare that both sides of a crack are completely level.

DIY dye-penetration test - run a bright colour marker pen across the area. Wipe the area with a rag soaked in meths. If the pen colour disappears, then it isn’t a crack.

Scratch. Look at the shape of it. Bike was probably moved around on it’s side, or in the back of a car while leaning against a sharp thing. Or bouncing on a rack next to another bike, or something. Is my best guess.

Best thing to do is to drill a good sized hole at the end of the longest line. If it turned out to be a crack, then you’ve just successfully placed it under house-arrest 😑

Spoiler
don’t do this.
