If you have a set of rims running schraeder valves can i use presta tubes instead?
Yes you can get some rubber grommets for the holes, available online I think I got mine from Edinburgh Bike Coop

Quite a lot of presta tyres come with a step-down valve nut that does the same job, too.
You don't have to use the gromit things. I have run many a wheel with presta valves in a schrader holes.
Quick fix is to put a few wraps of plumbers or sparky tape round the top of the valve if you are particularly worried about it.
I don't bother with the grommets either, the valve stem isn't going anywhere
