Looking for inspiration on a long term hardtail project.
Got a 2019 Nukeproof Scout 290 Frame in grey- BNIB since March!
Xt brakes-
Xt/ sunrace/ RaceFace drivetrain-
RaceFace Ar40 650 plus wheels-
Box/ Renthal Cockpit

Looking for inspiration/ images for suspension- stock bikes comes with either 130/140 but I’d like to run 140/150.

Ideally with enough clearance to run a 2.6 plus tyre and mudhugger guard

Helm Air then (Cane Creek), plus they're grey. The grey ones are, anyway.

You've not mentioned budget or what you'll be riding either. Pike or Lyrik?

Budget around £600 but ideally less
( Tight Yorkshire Bloke)
Would be ridden on everything from local Bridleways/ road/ woods to regular longer rides in Swaledale.
Had Pikes on previous Mega and 36’s on current one. Prefer 36’s for harder riding but the Pikes were better on general trail riding.
Really like the look of Marzocchi, had the orange z1’s back in the day!

If weight is a priority and given the kind of riding you recommend, I'd see if there are any deals on Fox 34s (or Pikes).

I've got a 34 on my SolarisMAX and it's fine at 140mm for me at 76kg in my birthday suit.

I find 140mm plenty of travel for a HT, but a slightly longer fork probably wouldn't hurt if you're running B-plus wheels (in terms of BB height).

Good point on the plus wheels Chakaping.
I’ve seen a 650 frame on a 170 Lyrik but I’m no Blake Samson!
A 150 fork would be great but possibly too slack for longer rides?
