Morning folks,

Considering swapping the XC race bike for a Scott Spark RC. Just wondering what, if any niggles these bikes have?  Specifically with the lockout and Syncross Wheels / Hubs.

Are all Spark owners happy with their purchase?

Very happy with mine.   The only niggle I have is don’t used the reader shock clip on sag guide, it inaccurate.  Go by measurement to about 25% sag and use the Traction mode first and foremost leaving open for descending.  Don’t worry about the thought that “but that only leaves me with 70mm” it feels a whole lot more.

The synchro’s wheels on mine are basically DT X1900   All good.

A very capable awesome bike, and fast.

Ace cheers. No issues at all with the lockout? That’s my main concern. Does yours have Fox forks?

It does.  No issues with either end.  The lockout/twinloc seems very accurate.  I have adjusted the cable slightly for cable stretch but that’s it.

Not an owner but have ridden one.

Good - best climbing bike I have ever ridden

Bad - felt really, really long, like the back wheel was 20ft behind me. Not good in the twisty stuff.

Didn't get on with the Genius either, far too short/cramped. Not a Scott thing though, I have a Plasma and love it.
