Hello,
My Spark seems to have a lot of pedal strikes, and I mean A LOT. I'm running it with 100mm SIDs and a Fox Float R shock.
Do other people have the same problem with 100mm forks? or is it the bob generated by not having a RP23 or similar shock?
Cheers
Butty
How much PSI do you have in the Float?
Do you normally ride a bigger bike?
Lots of people complain of this when riding XC race bikes, something most people need to work on to get past it.
Bikeradar reviewers seem to suffer from this a lot.
Yep - ride XC race bikes all the time, I'm pretty light too. PSIs... enough, based on sag.
It's a single pivot design, so I was thinking it would be sqautting into it's travel, causing the bb height to be reduced.
I was also thinking whether the travel in the forks, adding 20mm would raise the bb height enough to help...
Any ideas?

No, i have a spark with 120mm rebas and i am light. smack stuff all the time.
I run mine with a Talas set to 110mm, hardly ever strike pedals.
Coming from an Inbred with 100mm Reba's to a Spark 40 with 120mm Reba's, I'm getting more pedal strikes than I was used to.
Not the case with the new Pipedream Scion build, though, with 120mm Reba's. 🙂
I've got 120s on mine and get pedal strikes all the bloody time. The pedals look a couple of inches lower than my old strke. Climbs like a monkey though, so I guess a low BB isn't all bad. Just mostly...
Hey toxicsoks what do you make of the scion? What's quality like? did you weight the frame before you built it??
