Hello all...
I've just bought a SCOTT Spark for by son, it's a Spark 24 (24" wheels..)The rear shock is like a pogo stick but I've notices some people have fitted air shocks?
Does anyone know where I can get one? I've been onto Scott which was a waste of time (chocolate fire guard springs to mind!!!)
The shock length between centres is 125mm which is pretty dam small...
Thanks in advance, Simon
125mm is tiny. There are shocks about that small, but air shocks that small are likely to be custom or special orders, so unlikely to be cheap. Have you had a look at this thread? http://singletrackmag.com/forum/topic/build-report-custom-scott-spark-20-junior
Smurf ended up with a Risse Racing shock via J Tech. Risse seem to be shock providers of choice to weirdier applications like velomobiles and the like too, for similar eye-to-eye lengths. You might get a bit of leeway with the length through careful use of offset bushings.
I did spot this on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHIMANO-Di2-COMPUTER-CONTROLLED-SUSPENSION-SHOCK-UNIT-RS-C810-25-NEXAVE-C810-/182033633895?hash=item2a620cd267:g:Jo4AAOSwBahUz5qt
Might be cheap enough to give it a whirl?
Thanks for reply Jonathan, very much appreciated!!
I'll check out what you've found...thanks again.....
