My wife's Canyon Grand Canyon AL4 came fitted with a Schwalbe Tough Tom tyre on the front and Rapid Rob on the back. They've been decent tyres and work well for the type of riding we do together, until she got a puncture in the front tyre while out riding. Thank goodness we didnt attempt a change of inner tube on the ride as it was a road section and it was an easy matter to mount a rescue mission with the car. On returning home the nightmare began as it has proved completely impossible to break the bead from the rim to remove the tyre. The wheels are Iridium which i believe is Canyon's own brand. Neither rims or tyres are TLR so I'm perplexed as to why they are such a tight fit. I have tried a number of suggestions found on-line including warming the tyre with a hair dryer, pulling it away from the rim with pipe grips and placing the wheel on a block of wood and standing on the tyre.
Help...
Haven’t changed the front tyre yet on mine, that pleasure awaits. Did the rear a few weeks back. The canyon rim tape was useless for going tubeless and had to be replaced before the vittoria barzo would seat properly.
Yep, had some of these on an ebike. Almost impossible to remove. The only thing that worked was getting a pair of running shoes with a solid heel and standing on the tyre with the heel as close as possible to the rim. Bend down, grab a handful of spokes and pull like heck. Then pull harder... It'll go eventually
