Same tyre as the older ones, just with a Tubeless bead. Much tighter than the old ones, ridiculously so on newer Stan's rims (but doable), better on UST rims than the old ones.

Some still find sidewalls flimsy, never had a problem myself.

Got an EVO one on the back end of one of my bikes, went up really easily on a Stan's strip. No leaking when I put it on, and it hasn't burped or flatted in three or four months round the Peaks (although I should say I'm not doing crazy big jumpy droppy stuff or anything).

Using them for about a year, 2.4 Evo Snakeskins on Flows, no issues until about two weeks ago, had an incident and couldn't get the tyre to seal after. That said, the rim needed replacing, so tyre damage is kind of a given. Other than that, once puncture, and that only because I forgot to replace the fluid after six months.

Very light (for the 15 miles they lasted). Rip in sidewall, needed a patch and tube to get home. Nothing more challanging than mud fest in local forest, assume a sharp stone (never happened before with Mud X TLR).

Lost confidence in them, so sitting in the shed (the tyres, not me).

Anybody got an "old" 2.4 with a ripped sidewall or something similar they'd like to get rid of in my direction? honourablegeorge? Quite happy to repair something like that and fancy trying one on the uni (which isn't as yet tubeless).

See now I had that exact same experience, only with a Mud X TLR. Repaired it and it's been fine ever since. Sometimes you just happen to ride into something pointy...

Older Evo ones go up really well on Stan's rims, but not so well on UST. Newer ones are the other way round, basically!

There are also new compounds on the newer ones. Not really noticed a difference on that front.

Couldn't get mine to even start to go up tubeless on a DT Swiss 29er rim. Tried rimstrip and compressor but it still just flopped about.

I use the latest 2.25 tyre on bonty tubeless ready wheels.

Really like the balance of grip, casing size, rolling resistance and low weight.

The sidewalls are a little porous and i've got a scrape on one after a trip to W2 at Afan- although its not leaking.

The inspire a lot more confidence than the Bontrager XR2 tyres I had before and are only slightly more draggy.

As others have said, the bead on the newest tyres is nice and tight which means they go up easily. I received an older tyre from CRC and the bead on that was so loose I couldnt get it to go up at all.
