Hi all,
Got a set of Durano DD 28c on my commuter (kona paddywagon) and rear one has worn through to the blue puncture proof layer. So it's time to replace 1 or both.
Are they still considered a good road tyre, seen them for £35, but not sure what I paid for them a few years ago.
What's everyone else using? I need it to have some good puncture protection due to the road round here being covered in sharp stuff.
Anyone got any good deals on they've seen?
I'm struggling to think of direct alternatives, with decent puncture protection and folding bead.
Marathon Green Guard used to perform well in rolling resistance tests, Spa Cycles do a pair for £50 delivered.
Thanks, I'll take a look at those. They other tyres I used to use where GP4000 all seasons or something, but they're probably old hat now too.
Only just seen these after reading your post, I think it's a slight variant on the Marathon Green Guard...

£25 each, but Sigma are doing "ready to ride bundle," if you put 12+ items that are included in bundle you get maximum 20% savings off bundle items (there are some ~£1 "magic bean" esque fillers if you need them), making the tyres £20 each.
10% discount for 4+ bundle items
15% discount for 8+ bundle items
I've used 4 Seasons in the past, not a bad speed/puncture compromise, but they're hell of a lot mopre expensive than 5+ years ago (~£25 vs ~£55)! 😮
Thanks for the input. A little more research revealed the One 365 Raceguards are the direct replacement for the Durano DD.
I picked up one of those for now. Thanks for the link to sigma sports, gave me a new cheapish website following the demise of CRC.
