Looks like a tubeless setup with an uniflated tube in it incase you get a puntcure?
One problem with that.
If you run it with sealant you could have multiple thorns in the tyre before it goes down. Then you inflate the tube only to get an instant punctures from the thorns.
Apparently it's nowt like that. Bit more info on pinkbike
High pressure tube sits next to the rim. Second, lower pressure, tube runs round the outside of that under the tread.
Link?
There's a similar system for running tubless in MX tyres and rims.
They use a tube type thing as a rimstrip that holds the tyre bead in place.
Just googled it, seems the outer chamber of the tyre, just under the tread can be inflated to a very low pressure, say 15psi, for high grip, and the inner chamber under that is inflated to a higher pressure to protect the rim and prevent burping and all the other downsides to running low pressures. So both chambers are tubeless.
How much will they be? Schwalbe tyres aren't exactly cheap with single chambers.
Link?
Sorry - was being clever and linked the photo to the PB story.

Don't forget the new rims, too.
Sounds like a similar system to what's been tried with MX wheels and tyres.

just drill it
Does seem like a good idea... Weird that air can get from one chamber to the other despite them having totally separate valves though isn't it?

Now up on Bikerumor too. Apparently completely different to the Nuetech system. Apparently.
I wonder if it'll be bodgeable into other brands' tyres.
How much are Syntace wheels, incidentally?
How gutted would you be if you punctured both skins simultaneously.....
...on a group ride 🙂
Bound to weigh...
Interesting idea though! You would think you'd feel the outer chamber bottoming out.
EDIT "tubliss"...how have they remained under Specialized's radar?
Apparently completely different to the Nuetech system. Apparently.
Like I said up there..
Looks completley different. 😆
TBH with mouse tubes it's kind of pointless in MX tyres and with standard tubless systems it's kind of pointless on MTB's.

I always double bag on 'group rides' too.
Can't help but think it looks like one of those photos that appear on 1st April.
Good idea though.
Crikey. You'd have to carry four tubes. I haven't found any issues with not running a tube so not sure I'd want to stick two in the tyre...
Intriguing...
