Do they still exist? Can't see any in stock anywhere and I'm a bit impatient. Took delivery of my Commencal Meta V4 rims are drilled for bloody Schrader and I've tried the decathlon tubeless valves in and whilst they deal with Stan's, I don't trust it!

Am I right in thinking I could ghetto with 24" tubes? Can I leave the Stans strip on too or is it best to remove it? Proper valves would be my favourite option though?

Ta,

Harry

Just cut the valve out of an old tube leaving a bit of the tube around it to seal the hole.

Edit... do schrader still have a lock ring to keep them in place? Been years since I've used them. May be worth just getting some rim hole adapters instead.

Nope they dont! I haven't used Schraeder for ever either. That's why I thought about using a 24" tube stretched around the 650b rim. Should hold it tight right?

I have Joe' s no flats tubeless schraeder valves in my rims, been using them for 18 months with stans fluid with no problems,
CRC sell them.

The fat conical presta ones that superstar and wtb sell might do the job

Schwalbe Schrader tubes have a threaded collar.
I used a 24" on the front of mine when I went ghetto tubeless 29+.
Works perfectly.
Should work just as well on s 27.5".

i use the same as olderigetfasteriwas. changed mine from presta valves because they are nasty unnecessarily fiddly little pieces of crap.
used presta for years without problem then on a fatefull day at cannock them pesky presta's screwed me and ended up pushing back. will never fit em again 😀

Schwalbe Schrader valves are threaded with a locking ring

Prestas are unnecessarily fiddley and complicated and offer no benefit over schraeder
