Anyone running a MK2 scandal with an angled headset/slackset to change head angle?
Wondering if it's worth the effort/expense?
Thanks

Slacksets are 35 quid at the moment on superstar so fairly cheap to try what it's like assuming they have one that fits.

£50 quid from what I could see?
Just wondering if it'd make much difference and not upset anything. For 35 quid I'd take the punt.

Thanks

I recently put one in my FS, but can't see me bothering with my Scandal, slack enough for a trail bike IMO.

By Mk2 do you mean the older bikes, not the one released last year?

If so I’m tempted. I’ve got one of the old ones and one of the new ones. The old one fees very twitchy and I’m tempted to try and adjust it if there’s value, but don’t want to waste money.

Just stick a longer stem on it, a pair of drop bars and turn it into a monster cross gravel bike.

Use code BLACKNOVEMBER

Great - Thanks for the code, in that case will definitely give it a go.
Now just need to get my head around the instructions for what to order.

Yes,this is for an old scandal mk2, not the new one.

Cheers

Thanks to this thread, I’ve ordered and fitted one to my Scandal.

It fits fine, quality seems on a par with the hope headset that It replaced and a quick test ride around the streets and park suggests the handling is now a bit more normal and less hyperactive. It’s a subtle change though, so the bike hasn’t lost is character but I think is now more useable as an all rounder (mine is a singlespeed as a winter / training bike alongside my Scandal mk3)

If it helps, I ordered a “
T2-2 EC44/ZS49 100-110mm Straight Steerer”. Do check if copying this, especially the steerer tube length as that probably changes with bike space size.
