I seem to remember on the old site that someone mentioned about a place which sell aftermarket rear mech hangers as the one's Jungle supply seem to be made of butter.

Can anyone point me in the right direction 😕

Cheers

BETD are the company you are after, I believe. CRC sell their stuff but they do have their own website.

bigsi, have you tried just bending the hanger back to the right shape? The advantage of them being made of cheese is that it is pretty easy to get them straight again. I did it on my BLT and its been working fine for the last 6 months. Shame I had to buy a new mech though

Capt - Yep i have got it almost straight but don't own a vice to clamp it into and don't want to risk bending the frame by doing it insitu.

It works to a fashion but isn't perfect and can 'slip/jump' at the wrong moment.

As the hanger was pretty soft I actually did it in situ on the frame so that I could easily whip the mech back on to keep rechecking the alignment. Used a straight edge on the cage to check that it was parallel with the rear wheel, and then lined it up with the small cog to get the vertical alignment.

I guess it also depends on how often you are going to bend a hanger. If its say one a year then buying a new one even if it is made of cheese is possibly not so bad

Just looked at the SC UK website:
BLT1 dropout - £25
BLT2 dropout - £12

WTF??

The BLT2 one must be made of Edam rather than a good quality English Cheddar for it to be that much cheaper.
