Does anyone know the bearing numbers for the lower and upper link on a Mk 2 Nomad ?
Cheers
if your bearings are shot SC offer lifetime warranty on them, so i would phone Jungle they will send you some, well they did me anyway!
I just spoke to them and he was trying to sell me the pro pack for £117 which includes all the bearings, axles, seals, washers and bolts.
I've got some play in the lower link but i've managed to round off the bolt so i cant tell if its the bearings or just the axle.
Try
and
Says it's for a BLT2 but I got the links from the embedding in the Nomad Mk2 bearing overhaul document ( http://www.santacruzmtb.com/nomad/#maintenance.php) - click on support and then maintenance.

Is that true? On the web site they're charging £35 for the bearing kit for the mk2 (shock bushings £15, *each* on top).
Got play in my lower link and not sure what needs doing. Had the thing for 5 months and haven't bothered doing a re-grease yet (doesn't help I don't have the grease gun). Wondered it it just needs grease or if it's the bearings or something else.
Bolts are correct torque. No play side to side, just if I lift and drop it there's some play up and down. Shop is offering free service but cost of parts. If it's bearings and they're lifetime warranty, I shouldn't pay anything? Seems odd though for a part that will naturally wear. If they cost, then may as well do them myself as looks easy to do.
rhysw - how did you get on? I see in the guide they say to take care on those titanium bolts!
They do offer life replacements, when I spoke to jungle about my mark1 they replaced the knackered ones for free. I did have to pay for an axle as that wasn't covered and your supposed to knock them out and regrease every 6 months, I hadn't and it had got scored. Worth noting it's probably unlikely all of your bearings need replacing unless you really mistreat it!
If my LBS or I had done the bearing replacement I would have had to send them back to jungle to prove they were knackered for a refund.
This was 2 years ago mind.
I replaced the bearings on mine because of play and then realised it was the bushing on the rear shock!
Might be an idea to check that first?
Been suggested but from what I can see the rear shock seems solid.
Not sure I like the idea of having to send the bearings off to get a replacement. Could be without the bike for weeks. Maybe that's why they sell the bearings. Could always buy them, fix up and them sell the replacements (or keep for later).
I've just been through the process really quick an easy.
Knocked all my old bearings out using the proper sc tool. Posted them 1st class recorded on Monday with a photocopy of original purchase receipt and a cover note where I wanted the replacement delivering.
New bearings arrived in the post 2 days later. Top work by jungle!
