Hi,
Just changing the frame bearings on my Nomad 4 and have found that there's a fair bit of wear on the face of the lower link and one of the bearing shields (should be able to see in my photo in the PB link www.pinkbike.com/photo/17987358 (how do I upload a photo!?), some wear on the other bearing shields too, but no more on the link), just wondering if anyone else has found this on their Nomad 4? Nothing's ever been loose, all was still tight when taken apart, frame is 1 year old and had average amount of use.
No issues on the upper link and bearings swapped out easy.
I've dropped Jungle an email with image but curious to find out if normal or my wonky riding style!
Cheers

I'd imagine its where grits settled doesn't look like a loading issue.

Bearings-did they have any play

Would agree with duncancallum, just grit rubbing. Have had x5 SC over the last few years and this has happened to them all including my current Nomad 4. I can’t see anything to worry about but would be interested if I’m wrong! I’d worry more about significant wear on the axle pivots.

Reassuring cheers, glad to hear it's not totally uncommon.

Bearings are still in there and feel pretty good, no play and quite smooth, I've regularly greased my nipple... don't want to do anymore until I was 100% sure on what's happening to cause the wear.

I believe (hoping!) that's the inner race of the bearing you can see that's all silver (innermost ring)
