You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I am almost ready to pull the trigger on a carbon Nomad frame, which would put me in deep financial crisis. So deep, I will have to use my old Revelation 140mm for a month or so. The rest of the stuff is sound - X.0 shifter and rear mech, Hope Pros, XTR BB, XT cranks. Would the nomad be a disaster to ride with the fork? I know the frame is designed around 160mm.
I will have to stretch pretty far to finance the frame, being a self-sustained student, so deffinetly won't be able to change the fork as well in the begining, even with selling the old one.
I could wait for a couple of months and change both, but you know, I want the frame NOW NOW NOW 😀
It'll be about an inch short at the front compared to a 160 fork like a Lyrik. Probably be ok, but not ideal.
As for getting yourself in deep financial crisis for a bike - don't.
