Not sure how many people on here ride at Cambu, but you may have heard that the old quarry round the back is possibly going to be reopened, which would mean the loss of the trails/jumps.

There are various options being looked into/discussed at the moment, including leasing the land. There is a planned MTB demo in January/Febuary 2010 on the slopestyle course (currently being built), with bike manufacturers etc in attendance.

Anyway, there is a meeting this Thursday, at 7.30pm, in the Cambusbarron Community Centre. Would be great if as many riders as possible attended, to show that we care about the trails there 🙂

Thanks, Duane.

I'll try and make it along...don't use the jumps stuff that is there but do use the rest of the woods...would be a real loss if this was all gone.

Have just posted this on the Stirling Bike Club forum.

Good luck with all this.

Best riding in the Stirling area. Can't make Thursday but keep me posted of any other support required.
