Slowly getting to grips with in frame storage on my Trek Fuel EX; it's really nice riding without a bag, but quite a faff to get everything I've stuffed inside the frame out easily. The neoprene bag thing that comes with the bike is a nice touch, but I prefer to carry a pump instead of CO2, and at some point will probably get all giddy and buy a OneUp EDC pump, since a descent into Dadbike Hell seems imminent.
Jank does a really neat pump holder for the Specialized Swat door: https://jankcomponents.com/products/jank-swat-pump-holder
I've not seen anything similar for the Trek version, despite it being a common item across all of their in-frame storage bikes, of which there must be a absolute metric ton - remember that includes a lot of road and gravel bikes, too.
Looking at mine, there's easily room to mount a chonky pump, minitool and tyre plug spooger thing underneath the door, and fixing points to do so. Has anyone come across something that does this yet? I'll probs start making my own with random bits of plastic if not, but wanted to check first.
Here's a standard chonky Lezyne that's about 20cm long - the lower bolt for the water bottle cage goes into a brass insert and a longer bolt could go all the way through and make a decent threaded anchor point. The right and / top end is covered by a panel that protects the latch mechanism that can be removed - which is how I got the strap in. This all fits through the door in the frame with minimal jiggling, by the way.
