...waiting for the Elf to appear, I was struck by the sheer number of Boardman bikes ridden by those emerging from the darkness. I was there for 25 mins, and counted well over half of the fifty-odd bikes were manufactured by Boardman.

And then Elf got me pissed on expensive beer. The shit.

SHH!! I'm going there this afternoon... 8)

Lucky you weren't outside that tunnel at 9.30pm last night. It was closed. The Riverbus service seemed to have packed up for the night. There was a LOT of swearing.

When I was there a couple of weeks ago I was surprised at the number of people lugging boris bikes up the stairs - given the weight of them that's not something I'd fancy doing!

One of then would have almost certainly been my pal. He lives in Beckenham and works in Docklands, uses the tunnel, rides to work on a Boardman Carbon pro road bike type thing, part of his tri training programme. I recommended he buy that boardman with his £1000 budget. He knows nowt about bikes and wanted something to train on and do his triathlons. They're good bikes as far as I'm aware.

Those bloody great glasses they use don't help much either.

😀

My bowels are perfectly fine today, you'll be pleased to hear.

MrBlond; do you know about their newish venue, in the old Naval Hospital in the grounds of the Naval College? They brew on site there.

Meantime Brewery, for those interested in fine beers. TBH, not really much more spensive than ordinary pubs, and the beer's much nicer.

Very nice evening.

Except for Fred attempting to badger a poor Irish fella sat next to us into getting access to the top floor at Canary Wharf.

Long story...
