Looking to get one of these for the local days out, any real world experiences/issues?

Don't know about the solo but I've been using the double for over 10 years now and it's been great, solid and reliable. Whilst the hooks are coated I did helitape the insdes to try and reduce any rub there might be on the bodywork of the car.
