Interested in the Saracen Ariel 30 as a "do it all" UK trail bike. The price and spec looks very good for a bike in the £2-£2.5k range, but I'm a bit surprised to see a review claim a weight of 15.4kgs for the large, that's very heavy for a 130mm (front & rear) travel trail bike. Any owners on here that own one? Is the Ariel 30 Pro likely to be much lighter? Looks like a big part of the weight is in the frame (medium = 3.84kgs)
thanks

I've got a trek top fuel (120mm) which isn't much different. As long as it rides well and you put appropriate trail tyres on it I'd say you won't notice that much. I know I don't.
Never been too bothered by weight, but just weighed my medium pro, 15.6 kg. It's got big tyres, mary/hans dampf and a big 200 dropper. I'm 95 ish kg so not exactly a lightweight myself, I've had bigger dumps than the weight differences between bikes. Mine is 2.5 years old now and has been bomb proof so far. I think it's way more capable than the 130mm would suggest.
