i have suddenly found my self in possession of a SC superlight with a knacked rear shock. i know it is 100mm travel, my question is can i fit a 120mm shock if it has the same i2i or will this mess with the frame?
sorry if this is a stupid question but first full suspension bike!
cheers

Hi mate if it's the newer style frame the shox size is 200x50mm if that helps any.
Unsure as to your question though but i would not have thought so.
Why not just get it sorted by tftuned or mojo?.

the shock is too far gone all the stanchions are worn and it does nopt move at all.
i have been offered a cheap rp3 which is the same i2i - 200mm- but it has 5inch travel, i don't know enough about full sus to know if this is going to be a massive problem i know you can run the front at 120mm so was wondering if you can do the sam e with the rear?

I think you mistaking the travel of bike it came off, with the shocks abilities. If it's a 200x50mm shock then it will fufill the requirements of the later SC Superlight without changing anything.
The same shock size/stroke also fits my C'dale Prophet with 140mm travel.

I think you'd be better off trying to locate a 200x50mm one, the 57mm shock would mean your rear wheel wheel can travel further in towards the seatpost and potentially hit it (or swinging arm to internal frame maybe??).
If you can try the 200x57 on a "no commitments" basis, you could empty the shock of air and see what happens on full compression.
