Evening. I'm looking for a light, slack(ish) singlespeedable frame and the aluminium Highball frame seems to best fit the bill, certainly for the price.

Any other suggestions? Mainly for riding Bristol singletrack and the odd trail centre.

Also, how do Santa Cruz size up? I'm 6ft so I'm assuming a Large.

Im 6ft and ride a large. I think mines great (maybe a bit bias). I have tried single speeding it, but I know that it changes the rear from 142×12 to 135 x qr

I'm 6'4" and find the XL fits good with a 60mm stem

I have the '13 aluminium and a '14 carbon frame. I am 6 foot, and they are both large.

Suffice to say, I like 'em.

Cheers chaps. Am veering towards size L with a 120mm fork - seems to be a good middle ground between fun and xc!

Trek Superfly Ss frameset? I'm 5'10" on an 18.5, so you would be a 19.5 I would have thought. Comes with carbon 15mm fork.

Yeh I run 120mm on them when not rigid (!). DT Swiss fork with 2 stage lockout works well for climbing as can drop n lock to about 80mm, but I think normal fork would be fine as well.

The alu one...

Nice Nik. As an update just been reading about the Kona Honza Ti - would be perfect were it not so spendy and rare.
