Hi, I've been looking at some secondhand Santa Cruz bikes - Even though some seem identical, a few have a stuck on badge, whilst others just have a sticker. Any I've looked at were made before there were separate CC and C models. Does that mean the only difference between them is just the year they were made?
I'm just wondering if there's any other differences?

Looks more like year? They have swapped around a lot
First ones had the stuck on head badge (of the sc man) and had swoopy graphics. Next year was painted with graphics at angles, following that it was the sc typeface change and painted head tube. Then it's the last 3 years or so with the little square head tube badge.

Square badge is the 'modern' geometry. Although that will change again with the new nomad tomorrow..
You also can buy the headtube badges from Jungle, I bought one for my Mark I Nomad.

Apparently there will be a new nomad tomorrow. Aimed more at the rowdy side 170mm boost etc. heard the syndicate are in morzine to release it on the 1st. Could be BS though!
Thanks for all the info. I'm as confused as ever though, because the bike I'm thinking of buying is supposed to be a '15 model but has the painted on SC man?!
Ooooo!! I know there is a dealer weekend over in Morzine and that Rat boy was playing out on the trails earlier in the week.
Oh well, might have to put off demoing the 2016 next Tuesday if they are going to go 170mm as that might tweek the geo a little.
If it is the case, I'll be on nagging the LBS tomorrow 😆
Well apparently there are not going to be any revisions on the Nomad spec or colours (unless someone knows different?)
