I was reassembling the rear of the bike after having the rear link bearings replaced and something looks wrong. Reattached the rear triangle via the lower link first and it all looks good. line it up with the upper link, which had been reatched to the main triangle, and there is 2-3mm overlap on the non drive side and a 3-4mm gap on the drive side. I noticed that when I undid the bolt the first time that the rear triangle 'sprung' apart but did not think anything of it. Apart from this it is allback together correctly, took photos while is dismantled it!
I am sure it could be gently aligned and screwed back together but I would have thought the bearings would wear fast? So is this normal or should I be worried. I am the original owner and no visible damage to the frame. Cheers
Anyone?
R u sure you have put the lower link back in the right way round ?
Yes! Just talked to Jungle and it is normal. Just need to do the boots up at the same time.
