I've snapped my rear mech (SRAM X.0) from the mech hanger at the bolt - so in effect the bolts snapped in the mech. I can remove the hanger and replace no probs - any ideas on how I can remove the snapped bolt from the mech? When I put an allen key in at the moment it just goes round and round.......

Probably has a circlip holding it in. Post a picture of the hanger-side of the bolt and I can probably tell you.

Show us some pics so we can suss it out for you. I would initially have said some good strong pointed tweezers in the rear where the remnants of the bolt are then try with the allen key.
Or how about supergluing a piece of scrap metal to the reamainder of the back of the bolt then place in vice holding it by the scrap metal and allen key it.

on the inside face is a circlip holding the thingy screw plate in place remove this and the bolt withdraws replace bolt spares are available or use an old mech - may have the top half from a fubared carbon one
iirc any SRAM X series will do

Circlip idea got me thinking, looked on the SRAM website and that would have worked for 2007/08 mechs. Seems that now (09 onwards) it's not a replaceable item so the mech is trashed. 😈

Thanks for your answers, much appreciated
