Please forgive the newbie nature of this question! I was wondering why the M810 double crankset has rivets fixing the big ring to the bash-

If I were to get this crankset the plan is to replace the original rings with a 36t narrow-wide and an SS-friendly 22t ring. Can this be done whilst keeping the original bashguard? Or would I need a new bash for the new 36t ring due to the rivets as above?

Alternatively, would the standard ramped rings be fine for heavy single speed usage?

Thanks
🙂

The "rivets" are pick up pins to help with shifting.

Thanks for clarifying that.

Would a 3/32" single speed chain fit the 36t or 22t without scraping the sides? or can a 9 or 10 speed chain as an SS without problems?
