Hi,
I am selling a bike and was wondering what is the safest way to get paid for me and for the buyer. Gift payment may be a bit of an ask for such a large sum. What do you reckon?
Cash on pickup not an option?
Bank transfer seems a pretty safe option.
Or cash.
I asked for bank transfer to my account. Bit of trust on the buyers part I guess though.
Thanks guys, He wanted me to post it so cash not an option. Bank transfer I guess.
if he is ok with it and you actually intend on sending said item then Bank transfer is generally the quickest method and quite safe.
I do intend on sending it. Any idea on what postage will cost and who to post with?
I have a bike box and will turn bars/remove pedals ect.
parcel2go.com
parcel2go interparcel or senditnow, I have done loads of stuff with each of them, all good.
As a rough guesstimate, I sent two pairs of (car) alloy wheels from Portmsouth to the Lake District with parcel2go, the all up cost was less than £20. I can't see a bike costing any more than that, to be honest.
Thing about a bike is the dimensions, not the weight. Many couriers restrict on the size.

This. And if you want to add insurance it gets very expensive very quickly.
Prostitute, but ask to see some proper medical documents that she is free from any STD's. Far more safer than going to a bar and using rohypnol.
Edit- oh wait you said paid, not laid. Sorry

A safe way to receive payment is actually Western Union, but it's not so safe for the person sending the money as it still requires a level of trust. At least a bank transfer could be traced.
