So at the beginning of April the free hub body on my 4 month old Enve wheel set decided to disintegrate on an organized gravel/ pave event. The lbs took the hub apart to find the inside of the hub had also been damaged so a warranty job it was then. Now the distribution for Enve Europe is done by Saddleback.co.uk and they wanted to see the wheel, so it was duly posted. Two months later the wheel arrives back having had a new hub body replaced but they forgot to change the hub so you can spin the cassette body by hand in the drive direction and listen to the free hub body grinding round the inside of the hub. How can the workshop at Saddleback not notice this? Apparently because of Brexit they have set up an office in the Netherlands and wait until they have enough stuff to send over to the UK so it looks like I have another two months wait until I can ride my bike again!! It’s essentially grating because I’ve missed a lot of gravel events already because of it! Moral of the story don’t buy anything if you live in the EU if the warranty is being handled in the UK.😤

Yes warranty is a nightmare across the board currently.

Not got anything but rubbish stories at this end too.

Stock is a huge problem. In waiting on a small enve warranty for an axel. Taking forever.

Sale of goods act and ask for a refund

Or

Buy some cheaper wheels and sell them or the posh ones when it’s sorted.

Personally I’d rather run cheaper kit so I’ve got funds to keep rolling

Surely the shop you got the wheel from have access to a demo wheel that you could use until you’re fixed?

Last warranty issue I had, I just bought a replacement part to keep me going. Weighing up the cost and hassle of chasing the warranty over missed riding time, it's just not worth it if you can afford to buy something whilst the warranty goes through.

Mine was about 4 months for Mark Anthony cycles to eventually sort out my cracked BB.

@argee thanks for the offer!😀 The lbs is pushing for a replacement wheel but the people in charge at Saddleback are on holiday until Monday….. something to do with an old lady being 70 or something 🤷‍♂️😉
If they are not reciprocal then I’m pushing for a full refund.

I'd just buy a cheap rear wheel instead of 4 months of no riding. Good to have a spare too.
