On Sat i crash on the drop of despair in race at FoD. One of the issues was i ripped one of the saddle rails out of the back mount of the saddle.

I'm not seeing an easy way to get it back in. I'm not 100% sure yet if it's bent when/if it's back in... but we'll worry about that later, if i can get it in that is.

Saddles are not exactly expensive, this is only a £20 Fabric Scoop Gel.... but i can't find any more for sale and quite like it. I've got spares... but most are slightly damaged too lol....

Tips and tricks ?

hoooleeee sheit.

I bought a box of tools from a shop ~20 years ago. There was a set of bolts and plates that looked EXACTLY like that.

I'd never realised what they were for.

Now i know.

But i threw them away 15+ years ago...

I did one a couple of weeks back.
Tried all kinds of clamping in the vice and levers with no luck.
Then I had a think about it a bit more and used an old rigid seat post as a lever.
You need to clamp the seatpost clamp on to the rail you're trying to manipulate with the other half of the clamp to the wrong side of the rail.
This then made getting the rail in the right place to pop back in surprisingly easy.

Edit
Just watched that video.
Looks like I did it the right way by clamping the rail to lever it.

Have you tried using a seatpost as a clamp on lever?

Did the same to an sdg a few years ago. A big vice, a big set of molgrips, and a big screwdriver. Job jobbed. It never sat quite flat again but rode fine. Think it went on for a good few years. Might even still have it. 🤔
