After persevering for 2 years i've finally accepted that the saddle on my road bike is more akin to a torture device than something that will keep my derrière happy on long and short rides.

Any recomendations on shops that can offer some proper advise or have the "Specialized" saddle measurment thing and know how to use it. I'm happy to spend money to make sure i get something that isn't going to cause so much pain

Cyclefit would be happy to advise. Not sure about the Specialized bit though.

Is the "Arse-o-meter" fool proof? I've never been too convinced by the advise from my local Evans?

Rick Green cycles in Handforth have a Specialized saddle-fit thingy....I used it there a few years ago when buying my Phenom 143 (which is a brilliant saddle).

Cheers. The Phenom is what I'm doing battle with at the moment.

I am assuming that you have tried moving it fore/aft (and possibly a non layback seatpost) and changing the angle a few times?
