I've got a Crank Brothers Cobalt 3 seatpost but the saddle clamp is broken off on it, is there any way I can do some sort of bodge job to make it useable? I can't find them as spares anywhere and universal saddle clamps don't look like they will fit?

Any advice would be great, even if it's just to tell me the seatpost is fit for the bin.

My only guess would have been to use a 'universal' type clamp from one something like the post below, but sounds like you've tried that:

but that's too risky - you'd have to drill out the lower section:

no...I think it's bin time sadly... 🙁

I know this doesn't sound original, but for a non-dropper, just get a Thomson...

Cheers mate, you've said exactly what I thought, just hoped that someone might have an idea or two. If this forum hasn't got the answer it's bin time I think.

A new CB cobalt 3 seat post is £19.99 at Planet X, even if they don't have the correct size you could get one to use the clamp section for yours.
