Out round lee quarry this evening - on the last bit of single track just before all the gates - some cretin had pulled down a tree and laid it straight across the trail. Done between half six and half seven this evening. Be careful ladies and gents.

Absolute disgrace! I was only there two week ago! Such a shame. A fabulous place to ride. Are you sure it wasn't the wind though? Anyway, it's very christian of you to let people know. The world needs more people like you!

I reckon it was Jeebus that knocked the tree down. And god told him to do it. B*****ds.

Willber has just been elevated to saint status, possibly with a national holiday attached.

Was it a suspicious death or do you reckon the tree committed suicide?

Hmmm,

Been considering Mr P's identity for some while;

Too erudite for Hora, not enough sarcasm for Terra, no poo so not Derek & not Harry's style so I'm staking all on this being the work of Binners.

Deffo not the wind - I rode it twice. First time at about half six, clear. Then again an hour later and there it was. Four 50ish year old fellas stood around the gates - they were the only ones around and were my number one suspects.

It's either bored kids or dog walkers

My money is on the dog walkers, was a black bag of fun hanging off the offending branch? 😉

Rise above it Sir Willber, they know not what they do. It's a shame they probably can't see beyond themselves and their world, it's especially aggrieving when you are in the right, but plonkers exist, bikers and walkers. You just have to take the moral higher ground and live with it, remonstrating with them probably leads to nothing and gets you nowhere. frustrating.

I'm just shocked that there are trees that far north! I thought you'd used them all up for pit props and in furnaces so you can use those stupidly wide bars
