You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Is it any good? Worth a visit over Woburn? Thinking of heading up there today.
Not been for a while but think the signage isn't great.
However, big changes are imminent, they have funding to create new routes with signage and new jump and downhill areas.
Think I will leave it a while then, now to force myself out the door to Woburn.
Woburn is going to be grim
Matt Jones and his crew recently built up some fun rideable features for his 'Frames of Mind' film, (check it if you haven't already) close to the park area. There's some step-downs, wooden drops and big tables as well as a few new short freeride/DH lines, (in addition to the 3 lines that were already present) that are a joy to play around on. You can link up a good route through and over to Woburn making for a great days ride. Definitely worth a gander if you're looking for new spots to session. There's also a few XC/singletrack routes that can be explored if you can be bothered to hunt them out.
Was over at Woburn yesterday, it was riding a treat, though might be a little moist under the foot today. It usually drains well and is good to ride after a few hours dry spell, if we ever get that today...
komainu-
i had a look before but didnt find an obvious track between the two.
Any pointers? (or gpx)?
If you want to find the rushmere jumps etc you need to take the park entrance without carpark/centre by the road.
you go through a barrier then drive a long way to the main visitor centre. then its bout 5minutes cycle. The staff should know where it is
Head up to a giant wooden chair and its just past there on the right. Not visible from the path iirc
Best to leave Rushmere for the summer, it’s minging at the mo.
alric - The route admittedly isn't the most obvious; You need to follow a few fields beside the A5 and you will find a bridge that crosses it at Little Brickhill. From there the can find your way into the back woods, (church side of Woburn) and through to Longslade trail and the bikepark.
I haven't been to Rushmere in a couple of weeks, but I'd count on the singletrack being pretty rotten to ride right now. As fancypants says, might be best to leave the slog til approaching drier days.
i know the woburn side of the A5, and been on the lane the other side beside the A5, but from there i dont see where to go
