Will a superstar rim strip and valve suffice or do I need the stand kit?
Also any one got experience of smorsgasboard tubeless on these rims?
Thanks

I always used proper rubber conversion strips with mine.

Used insulation tape on TN719's works perfectly.

Using Stans rimstrips on my XM719s. Used Specialized 2bliss and Maxxis standard single ply tyres successfully.

I've used rimstrips, but for best results I use layers of electrical tape and Joe's tubeless Schraeder valves.

Works a treat.

I'm using Nobby Nics, one tubeless ready, the other not.

Both seem fine so far with SS yellow tape on Mavic rims.

I tried just yellow tape, it worked til about the third corner then the tyre rolled off the bead. BMX tube almost worked, I reckon I could have made it ok with a bit more work, or maybe different tyres but I just got fed up with the hassle of it all.

Just got my nobby nics out...there not TL ready!!
Will they still work tubeless? what's the difference between a TL ready tyre and a non TL ready?
Is it just the bead and no holes in the carcass?

Why in stans video do they say drill the first valve hole only? I don't see the point as the valve on the standard rim strip is the same thickness from top to bottom..So why so does that hole need to be widened?
