[Closed] Running a Cove Hummer (27.5) as a 29er - anyone done this? thoughts?

Considering buying one of these as they're going cheap but wanted to gauge opinion and experiences before i push the button.

Plan is to run a shorter travel 29er fork and 29er wheels - just not sure of the effect this will have on the bike and it's handling....predominately xc/trail riding.

A freind has one,he tried 27.5 & 29er wheels & preferred the 29ers. However he used 140 fork.Hope that is some help.

Yeah it does dude, thanks. Read up a wee bit and i really don't want to run such a long travel so i've ordered an MT29 instead! Cheers for the help 🙂

I've got one set up 27.5" and absolutely love it.
A mate of mine put 29" with a 140 (or maybe 150) fork on his and absolutely hated it. The BB was apparently way too high and the bike felt very twitchy.

I guess with a 120 fork it would be ok, but I like it as it is tbh.
