Looking to try out a clutch mech.

Currently running 1 x 10 with a short cage mech & 11-36 cassette.

Question is, should I stick with short or go medium cage?

Will it matter?

Thanks in advance,

Alan.

Ignoring the model, if you scroll down the page, there's a useful compatibility chart to answer your question 😀

It suggests 'short'

Nice one! Thanks 🙂

Short it is, which is currently £15 more expensive on CRC 🙁

Currently using a medium X9 type 2 , 1-10 with 34/11-36 - never had a problem (actually find it works pretty well)

Bear in mind chain growth from suspension.

Short on mine barely has enough capacity due to having an extra link or two to accommodate chain growth, leaving chain a bit slack in top gear when unsagged.
