Replacing the bearings on my Bronson (second hand so no freebies sadly). Looks like bearings can be had from Rulla for around 25% less than the official set and other suppliers I can find. They are MAX bearings and they tell be after enquiry that they are not the same as Enduro bearings, but similar, I want to make sure that they will be of the same quality to the official ones.

Anyone used these guys and have feedback?

From their site about their Max bearings:

the manufacturer supplies OEM to Giant Bicycles, FSA,

So I guess the question is whether stock bearings on Giant bikes are any good?

A mate has just used them for some frame bearings on his Slash. He seemed pretty happy with them although it's only been 2 weeks so can't comment on longevity.

As for stock giant bearings. I have a 2017 trance, took the shock off last week to have a feel. They sound a bit gritty when you cycle the rear triangle but no play or anything. I'll probably swap them next payday. This is on a 16 month old bike which has seen two winters of riding, don't think that's too bad?

Their supply to OEM may be different to what they offer to retail.

I’ve taken a punt on it, bearings seem exactly the same spec as the SC ones. Thanks
